Role Overview
As the Assistant Manager, Total Rewards, you will support the planning, implementation, and operations of NKF’s compensation, benefits and performance management frameworks. Working closely with the Senior Manager, you will contribute to the development of competitive and equitable reward structures that align with organisational goals, regulatory compliance, and employee engagement strategies. You will also be a key player in data analysis, policy implementation, and employee lifecycle activities relating to pay and benefits.
Key Responsibilities
Benefits Lead

Work with Senior Manager HR to develop and execute a forward-thinking benefits strategy aligned with the organization’s total rewards philosophy and business goals.

Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of health & welfare, retirement, insurance, wellness, and flexible benefit plans.

Ensure competitive positioning through benchmarking and market intelligence

Ensure programs comply with local regulations, including CPF, IRAS, and MOM requirements

Partner closely with HRBPs, finance, legal, and external advisors to align benefits strategies with organizational priorities

Lead benefits communications and education campaigns to drive employee understanding and engagement, in partnership with Staff Welfare (SWC) and Workplace Safety & Health Committees (WSH)

Manage vendor relationships, negotiations, and performance to ensure cost-effectiveness and service quality

Develop and manage benefits budget, analyse cost trends, and support financial forecasting.
Total Rewards Operations

Support the execution of annual performance and salary review cycles, including bonus computation, pay modelling, communication, and system inputs.

Assist in compensation benchmarking, salary structure updates, and benefits review exercises, ensuring alignment with healthcare industry practices and local labour regulations.

Provide support in job evaluation and grading exercises to ensure internal consistency and compliance with approved frameworks.

Support the annual manpower budget exercise in partnership with Finance to ensure timely and complete budget submissions.

Prepare monthly HR statistical reports, including turnover and attrition analysis, manpower costing, and headcount tracking against budgeted figures

Partner with HRIS to maintain accurate and up-to-date compensation and benefits data within the HRIS (SuccessFactors), and support system-related testing or enhancements as needed.
Stakeholder & Project Support

Provide guidance to employees and managers on C&B-related queries, in collaboration with HR Business Partners and the Shared Services team.

Assist in ad-hoc HR initiatives or process improvement projects relating to compensation, benefits, HRIS, or payroll.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

At least 4–6 years of relevant experience in Compensation & Benefits or Total Rewards, preferably in healthcare, social service, or non-profit sectors.

Strong analytical and numerical skills; advanced proficiency in Excel is required.

Familiarity with SuccessFactors, preferably in Compensation module

Experience in charting and Power BI will be an advantage

Good understanding of local employment legislation and CPF, tax, and benefits regulations in Singapore.

Strong sense of integrity, responsibility, and attention to detail.

Effective communicator with a collaborative and service-oriented mindset.

IHRP Certification or relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CTRS, GRP) will be an advantage.
