Main Responsibilities
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Biomedical Engineer to join the Bio-Medical Engineering team. Reporting to the Assistant Manager, you will deliver safe, effective and economical management of Biomedical Engineering services. Your responsibilities are as follows:
1. Operational Support for Dialysis Centres (DC)
- DC Oversight: Manage biomedical operations across 5 to 6 DCs, ensuring equipment availability and functionality to support uninterrupted patient care.
- On-Call Services: Provide after-hours and public holiday technical support for assigned DCs to address urgent operational needs.
2. Maintenance and Reliability of Biomedical Equipment
- Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM): Ensure all biomedical equipment is regularly maintained to meet the required performance standards, minimizing equipment downtime and breakdown rates.
- Equipment Breakdown Services: Diagnose and repair malfunctioning biomedical equipment promptly, ensuring proper servicing and functionality before returning it to use.
- Emergency Technical Support: Provide frontline troubleshooting support to address urgent technical issues, ensuring seamless operations in critical situations.

3. Water Quality Management
- Quality Control of Treated Water: Conduct regular checks and testing to ensure treated water meets safety standards for patient treatment, adhering to national and international guidelines.
- Water Treatment Systems Maintenance: Perform maintenance of reverse osmosis (RO) systems, including off-duty work (up to two Sundays per month), ensuring continuous and safe water supply for DCs.
4. Administrative and Strategic Contributions
- Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, water quality reports, and troubleshooting activities.
- Additional Responsibilities: Undertake tasks assigned by the Head of Department (HOD), such as preparing technical case studies, delivering paper presentations, or contributing to strategic projects.
- Compliance and Audits: Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations and support internal and external audits as required.
Qualification (Related Field)
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Medical Technology or related fields
Experience
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant engineering experience in dialysis therapy and water treatment system.
- Experience in Healthcare industry will be advantageous
- Exposure in medical equipment maintenance will be a plus
