Job Role

Support the Foundation’s delivery of healthcare service through leading and managing Finance operations, accounting & financial reporting function, as well as ensuring efficiency & adequacy of financial processes and controls.

Main Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the finance operations and accounting functions, including but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventories, and fixed assets, etc. ensuring routine financial transactions & activities are completed accurately and on time
  • Lead the team to ensure timely month-end, quarterly and financial year-end closing and deliver accurate financial reports with relevant analysis
  • Evaluate, develop, and improve financial controls, systems, and procedures that enhance accuracy and efficiency
  • Work with external auditors to ensure timely completion of Statutory Audit, Annual Certification, and submissions
  • Supervise and develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
  • Guide, coordinate and instruct team members on nonroutine policy interpretations or transactions which require resolution
  • Manage effective stakeholders engagement with various departments to foster collaboration and ensure organisation’s interests and concerns are appropriately addressed
  • Participate in corporate projects as requested

Main Responsibilities (continue)

Qualification (Related Field)

  • Degree in Accountancy or accounting/business related discipline
  • Professional qualification in Accounting

Experience

  • 4-5 years of accounting/finance experience, preferable in hospital or health-care institution and in a supervisory capacity
  • Prior audit experience will be an added advantage

Soft Skills

  • Good knowledge of Singapore Accounting Standard (FRS), Companies & Tax laws and other relevant regulations
  • Ability to lead and motivate staff
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently, work with cross functional cooperation and meet tight deadline
  • Proactive and able to see the global picture and yet to have an eye for details.
  • Proficiency in operating financial system and MS Office, esp. Word, Excel & PowerPoint
