Job Role
- The team at NKF aims to improve the quality of life of our patients with chronic illnesses through therapy in order to help patients live more meaningfully despite their physical condition.
- The Psychology Associate will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based psychological approaches to both patients and their caregivers. Interventions may be conducted in multiple settings, including dialysis centres and patients’ homes. The Psychology Associate will be closely supervised by the Senior Psychologist.
Main Responsibilities
- Triaging of cases referred by the admissions team and other professionals.
- Conduct initial assessments using appropriate tools
- Develop formulations and interventions informed by various theories
- Conduct group interventions to support new patients to adapt better and adhere to their medical treatment
- Concise documentation of case notes
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams to produce a care plan for patients
Main Responsibilities (continue)
Qualification (Related Field)
Honours Degree in Psychology (at least 2nd Upper Class Honours)
Experience
Working experience in a community-based setting will be an advantage.
Soft Skills
- Basic knowledge and experience in Excel
- Independent, self-motivated and a team player
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to conduct out-of-office hour sessions (time-off will be provided)
- Ability to speak in dialect will be an added advantage.
