We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Dietitian to join the Allied Health team. Reporting to the Assistant Head, you will provide evidence-based clinical nutrition care, support department quality improvement efforts, guide junior staff, and contribute to research and education initiatives. Your responsibilities are as follows:

Main Responsibilities

1. Clinical Nutrition Care

  • Deliver evidence-based dietetic consultations to patients and caregivers, aiming to improve nutritional status and compliance with dietary recommendations.
  • Provide tailored nutrition counselling and interventions based on individual patient conditions and needs.
  • Contribute to clinical data collection and analysis to support treatment planning and service enhancements.
  • Assist in creating smart templates for use in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.

2. Quality Improvement & Research

  • Participate in clinical nutrition initiatives and Quality Improvement (QI) projects to enhance care delivery and patient outcomes.
  • Conduct audits to ensure alignment with current evidence-based dietetic practices.
  • Support research efforts and assess the effectiveness of clinical services.
  • Stay updated through regular literature reviews and attendance at relevant workshops or conferences.

3. Training & Supervision

  • Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior dietitians and dietetic technicians.
  • Guide team members in setting and achieving their Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
  • Oversee and coordinate clinical placements for dietetics or nutrition students.

4. Education & Outreach

  • Deliver nutrition education and updates to internal staff as needed.
  • Advocate for and promote evidence-based best practices in clinical nutrition.

5. Departmental Support & Other Duties

  • Assist the Function Head/Head of Department with planning, operations, and the achievement of departmental goals.
  • Perform other duties related to dietetic services and patient care as assigned.

Main Responsibilities (continue)

Qualification (Related Field)

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics, including the completion of a clinical dietetics internship of at least 24 weeks from an accredited institution.
  • Membership with the Singapore Nutrition and Dietetic Association and accreditation as an Accredited Dietitian in Singapore is recommended

Experience

  • More than 5 years of experience in clinical nutrition, ideally in a related healthcare setting.
