Job Role
1. Assisting delivery of therapy services.
He / she is expected to travel around to all DCs when needs arise
Main Responsibilities
- Assist therapists (OT and PT) in all activities required of therapy treatment.
- Implement parts of therapy treatment or activity with/without supervision, following instruction of the therapist.
- Operate and set up equipment for patients’ use safely under the instructions of therapists in outpatient settings.
- Assist to prepare standard home therapy equipment under instructions of therapists.
- Inform, alert and/or provide input to therapist regarding patients’ concerns, complaints, progress or problems encountered in their interactions with patients.
- Ensure tidiness and cleanliness of all personal and shared work areas, (e.g. gym and office).
- Perform routine check and clean therapy equipment. Assist with scheduling of equipment maintenance/servicing as required.
- Assist therapists with other areas of work (e.g. conduct staff training, outreach activities, etc) when required.
- Coordinate, arrange coverage of duties with peer when self or peer goes on leave.
- Check, update and put up purchase of any supplies, stock and consumables needed by the team.
- To coordinate and put up purchase of stationery for both HQ and IRC gym if need be.
- Retrieve, file and sort out patients’ records regularly.
- Ensure proper filing of discharges, forms and documentations (e.g. AIC forms, Sg Enable forms).
- Participate in all departmental meetings and training program (e.g. therapy asssistant In-service).
- Assist with admin duties (e.g. claims, filing, etc) when needed.
- Undertake responsibility and duties assigned by the Manager of Department from time to time.
Main Responsibilities (continue)
Qualification (Related Field)
- Certification in Therapy Assistant/Certification in Healthcare support.
- Diploma, N Level, O Level, A Level , ITE, NITEC in community care and social services.
- Baseline of BCLS Certification.
Experience
- Preferred to have some experiences in healthcare settings (at least 1 year of work experience as therapy assistant).
Soft Skills
A team player and able to relate well with colleagues.
Able to converse with all patients’ group and family.
