We are seeking motivated Therapy Assistant to join the Allied Health team. Reporting to the Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be supporting the therapists in implementing therapy programs to improve patient’s daily living and mobility. You will also ensure that documentation and logistical upkeep is accurate and sufficient. Your responsibilities are as follows:
Main Responsibilities
1. Client Care and Therapy Assistance
- Work under the close supervision of OT and/or PT.
- Assist in the implementation of therapy programs for clients.
- Facilitate NKF clients with ADL and/or IADL interventions (e.g., ambulation and transfers) under the OT’s instruction.
- Assist clients with mobility needs/interventions.
2. Administrative and Referral Management
- Assist with patient referrals and appointments, including triaging, compiling documents, and monitoring.
- General document-keeping and submission of required reports (e.g., SMF Quarterly Finance reports).
- Handle logistics requests for equipment transfers between centers.
- Process purchasing requests for consumables, equipment, and SMF items using Oracle.
3. Equipment and Inventory Management
- Responsible for the housekeeping, maintenance, and cleaning of therapy equipment.
- Maintain an inventory list of assets and ensure sufficient stock of consumables.
4. Departmental Support and Compliance
- Participate in departmental projects and training programs as assigned.
- Ensure adherence to PDPA guidelines for confidentiality regarding organizational, departmental, and patient matters.
- Take initiative to report and resolve safety or hazard issues.
5. Other Duties
- Perform other Therapy Assistant-related duties as assigned by the therapist in charge.
Main Responsibilities (continue)
Qualification (Related Field)
- Diploma in health-related courses
- GCE “O” or “N” level certificate with a Higher Certificate In Healthcare (Therapy Support) from HMI.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare would be advantageous but not necessary.
- Fresh graduates who completed Higher Certificate In Healthcare (Therapy Support) from HMI are welcome to apply
